Outlyers: USA
The USA is a clear outlyer, which calls for a convincing explanation which may be:
- The strong tradition of philanthranopy means that wealth is redirected usefully.
- As the world's leading economy, the USA is able to exploit other countrys more than other countries exploit the USA.
- GDP may not be the best indicator of success. The USA is not outstanding in a plot of Prosperity Index vs unfairness. Note that the Prosperity Index is a ranking rather than a value.
